Ek het onderneem om self kombuis- en badkamerkaste daar te stel. Vorige ondervinding met IKEA het baie bygedra tot die haal van 'n goeie verkoopprys vir ons huis in State College. Gevolglik wou ek nou dieselfde koers volg. Tot ons teleurstelling is minder as die helfte van ons bestelling Dinsdag afgelewer en spook IKEA nog om vas te stel wat presies skeefgeloop het.
I undertook to provide cabinets for the kitchen and bathrooms. Our previous experience with IKEA contributed to receiving a good sale price for our house in Pennsylvania. Hence the decision to take the same route this time. However, I was disappointed when only half of the oreder was delivered on Tuesday, March 29 and it took another week for IKEA to rectify the matter.

'n Tweede bron van frustrasie dieselfde week was my gepoogde interaksie met Standardbank in Suid Afrika om 'n jaarlikse fondseoordrag te probeer bewerkstellig. 'n Derde bron van frustrasie het dit vererger daar ons ons internetsein na die woonstel verloor het en ek genoodsaak was om skuins voor sonop op die Willards se stoep te Skype. Dit het ek drie oggende moes doen voordat ek iemand bereik het wat hulpvaardig genoeg was om my versoek op te neem. Ons wag nog op 'n gunstige uitkoms, drie weke na ek begin het!
A second source of frustration the same week was unsuccessful attempts at getting Standard Bank in South Africa to make an annual transfer of an annuity disbursement. This was compounded by loss of our internet connection to the apartment, which necessitated me to attempt contacting the bank shortly after sunrise from the Willard's patio where I got a signal. It took 3 morning efforts to reach a person mildly interested in helping me. However, three weeks later the attempts still proved to have been futile!
Die derde oggend se poging, terwyl Susan gereed gemaak het om saam met die Willards vir die dag op 'n kerkuitstappie uit te gaan. Sedertdien is ons rekenaarprobleem Saterdag opgelos, wat hierdie blogplasing moontlik maak. Maar die kommunikasie met Standardbank het nooit reggekom nie en moet ek dit maar later hervat.
The third morning attempt, while Susan got ready to accompany Fred Willard and a church group for the day. Since then our connection problem was resolved, which enabled this blog download. Communication with the bank could not be established, awaiting a future resolution.
